Between Laughter and Support

The mouth laughs. The hands hold the face. Turquoise eyes meet ours beneath an angular blue cap. Pink and ochre run through the skin as the arms cross in front of the body. Between open laughter and a firm grip, a question remains: is this joy entirely carefree—or does it, too, need support?
