Rainer Neuwirth began making music as a teenager, alongside his early engagement with painting. Playing in several bands shaped his understanding of interplay, energy and the direct connection with an audience.

Today he writes and produces his own music and also performs as a singer. His songs emerge from the same impulse as his visual work: to give inner states a tangible form through rhythm, voice, tension and contrast.

For productions that call for additional specialisation, Neuwirth works selectively with professional musicians, producers and studios. These collaborations extend his artistic vision with the expertise needed to realise each project at the highest possible level.
