Artwork “Head Held High” by Rainer Neuwirth: expressive portrait with a raised chin, yellow face, turquoise lips, red-orange eyes and an orange top

Head Held High

The chin rises. The gaze stays with us. Turquoise lips and red-orange eyes place cool and glowing accents within the yellow face. Fine, restless lines trace skin and hair. Against the dark background, the long neck takes on an almost sculptural presence—a stance between pride, defiance and quiet vulnerability.
